Seeking an outgoing, highly motivated individual with at least 3 years
experience in eukaryotic cell culture to manage the cell culture operation of a
small biotech company. Candidates should have a documented history of knowing
how to make media, pipette fluids accurately, quantify cell growth, operate a
photographing microscope, perform sterile techniques, train other technologists,
and have experience growing a wide variety of cells in many types of growth
containers. Successful candidates will have experience with careful manipulation
of media and optimizing growth conditions to achieve high cell yields, followed
by documenting the results in a written manuscript. This position is open in
Charlottesville, Virginia at the foot hills of the Blue Ridge mountains, yet
with easy access to Washington, D.C. and Virginias many beaches. Salary
